Quite how all that will ultimately come together remains to be seen, but those willing to take a punt can pre-order Othercide now on Steam and Xbox One with 15% off the usual £30-ish price tag. It might not become your new all-time favorite, but Othercide is a strong addition to the genre. Your prowess in combat will decide their fate, shape their abilities and personality. If the tide of battle turns against players, Daughters can be sacrificed to restore the health of others - potentially making for some tough decisions - but those that survive will evolve over time, levelling up, acquiring new skills, and even gaining new stat-boosting bonuses from the memories of the boss-like Suffering standing in the way of humanity's salvation. That said, Othercide offers up some unique and tough decisions (mostly in the progression aspect of things), and a slick presentation keeps you dialed in. Other than firing dual pistols, it can also cast buffs that can boost the capabilities of other Daughters. This enables players to plan ahead during battle, setting up chains of abilities that can deployed against enemies as combat continues, making it possible to interrupt attacks, trigger delayed actions, or even use special reaction skills. The Soulsinger is the only ranged class in Othercide. Soulslingers take care of long-range engagements and focus on buffing and defending their teammates. and the Soulslinger is the mage who guns down enemies at range. ![]() They are meant to absorb attacks and delay enemies. Othercide is a horror Tactical RPG developed by French independent video game studio. Each complements the other and plays an important role on the battlefield.
